About the conference

The SASEP Conference was held at Nombolo Mdhluli Conference Centre in Skukuza, Kruger National Park. The conference was held on 22, 23 and 24 May 2024. A total of 45 papers, two keynotes, two panels, and one deep listening exercise formed a part of this panel, with delegates present from South Africa, Canada, the Netherlands, Denmark, USA, Nigeria and Botswana. Disciplines varied from Philosophy to education, environmental management, geography, art and beyond. We also had a total of around 65 delegates who registered for the conference.

Overall, the conference was a resounding success, and the feedback has been on the whole, very positive. The SASEP Committee is already busy thinking about the next conference – please keep an eye on the website for more information!
